Frankly Swingin’: A Day of Recording at Louise Restaurant
There’s something magical about blending classic swing music with a modern, sophisticated twist, and that’s exactly what we aimed for with our new concept, Frankly Swingin’. Imagine the timeless elegance of Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald, but reimagined with fresh, unique interpretations. That’s the essence of Frankly Swingin’ – a band that takes these classic tunes and delivers them with style, class, and a sound that keeps listeners captivated. To showcase this new concept, we recently had the pleasure of recording a few tracks at one of Oslo’s most stylish spots – Louise Restaurant & Bar. Located in the Aker Brygge area, Louise is known for its beautiful waterfront view, making it one of the city’s most scenic dining venues. The restaurant prides itself on its diverse menu, with a strong focus on seafood and Norwegian cuisine, catering to all tastes, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. The ambiance is refined yet relaxed, featuring a modern design interwoven with maritime touches that nod to Oslo’s rich seafaring history. It’s a place that naturally sets the stage for elegant and lively music.

The day of recording was simply fantastic. We gathered in one of Louise’s spacious, beautifully decorated rooms – an open, airy space filled with elegant maritime décor that matched the classy vibe of Frankly Swingin’. With a lineup consisting of voice, drums, guitar, and bass, we set out to capture the essence of this new musical concept. The band looked sharp, the instruments were ready, and the atmosphere was perfect for swinging tunes.
Throughout the day, we worked on multiple takes and scenes, aiming to craft a promotional video that truly embodies what Frankly Swingin’ is all about. The creative energy was palpable, as we moved through different shots to ensure the video’s visuals matched the sophistication and playfulness of the music. It was not just about the music, but about capturing a unique mood – one that we hope will make every listener feel like they’re experiencing something special and fresh.
